Hippo Campus
Hippo Campus
"Blissful indie rock" – Rolling Stone

“With lyrics that deal with the ghosts of past selves, the final product is forward thinking.” – NPR

“phenomenal live. One of the best bands in the United States” - BBC Radio 1, Huw Stephens

"MUSICIANS TO WATCH IN 2017" – PAPER

"... the Minnesota quartet oscillates between melancholic lo-fi gems and colorful, energetic tracks, think Ezra Koenig fronting Real Estate." – VICE's Noisey

Hippo Campus’ trajectory continues to steadily ascend, playing to over-capacity crowds of enraptured fans at Bonnaroo & Lollapalooza as well as headlining the Minnesota State Fair in their hometown. Today, in addition to a slew of new tour dates spanning into 2018, the band has surprise dropped the brand new warm glow EP which features fan favorite “baseball”! Partially crafted during the landmark album sessions, Hippo Campus recently returned to the songs, this time also taking on production responsibilities them with landmark album producer BJ Burton at the mixing board. Available on digital DSPs only today, the physical 12" version of EP as well as a landmark + warm glow deluxe package will be physically available on November 10 vla Grand Jury Music.

Guitarist/vocalist Nathan Stocker explains, “We had wanted to start writing and recording again after tour and these songs were staring us in the face ever since our first wave writing sessions for landmark. So we went to Pachyderm studios this summer to get ‘em down within a live setting, which was a return to the process of our first two EP's. There were many blueprints (demos on demos) for “baseball," having gone through a rigorous audition process for landmark, and "warm glow” was, at one time, going to be the closing track of the album. It’d be a lie to say we had this EP figured out from the beginning, but plans are overrated anyhow.”

Hippo Campus’ critically acclaimed debut album landmark debuted at #2 Heatseekers Chart with critical acclaim from both Bob Boilen + Robin Hilton of NPR Music, Noisey, NYLON, PAPER, The Creator’s Project, Paste, BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, etc. They have accrued more than 40M streams on DSPs, gave a great performance of album single "way it goes" on CONAN, have radio sessions with WFUV and WXPN World Cafe and called one of NPR Music’s Favorite New Artists Of 2017.

Following a sold out winter/spring landmark release tour, be sure to catch Hippo Campus return to the road with many chances to experience their captivating live show in a city near you this fall through 2018!
Magic City Hippies
The Magic City Hippies began as a one-man band playing for the co-ed party scene on the streets of Miami — serenading the 20-somethings with a mix of oldschool hip-hop covers and original tunes.

After months of stealing electricity and stirring up crowds of passers-by with his loop-based setup, frontman Robby Hunter was asked by the Coconut Grove Police to cease and desist or 'play in a real bar.' Finding sanctuary in a nearby dive bar, Robby enlisted the support of multi-instrumentalists Pat Howard and John Coughlin for a regular gig.

This trio dubbed itself Robby Hunter Band and released a self-produced, widely acclaimed debut LP in 2013 entitled Magic City Hippies, which included the beachy Hype Machine-topper "Corazón" alongside indie blog hits "Hard On Me" and "BUST."

Encouraged by the international reach and positive reception of their debut, they decided to expand their sound and approach under the better-fitting moniker Magic City Hippies (after the title of their debut LP). In July of 2015, the Magic City Hippies released the Hippie Castle EP, and the lead-off track "Fanfare" hit #1 on Spotify's Global Viral Top 50. It has accumulated over 2 million streams to date.

'HUSH' is the Hippies' latest handiwork, the first piece of a full length album planned for release in Fall 2016 amidst a string of upcoming US tour dates.
